Hear from Foundation supporters who have advocated for corporate giving and started philanthropic endeavors in their workplace. Learn how you can inspire your workplace to support the mission of the Foundation and become a corporate champion.

Macaela is the Director of Community Relations and Investment at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC). In her current role, she oversees philanthropic giving, internal and external volunteering, sponsorships, community partnerships and giving strategy, including corporate social responsibility. Macaela is dedicated to serving the Kansas City community. She’s an active board member of the Kansas City Public Schools Education Foundation, an education foundation for Kansas City Public Schools, is the current board chair for Nonprofit Connect, an organization that unites nonprofits, foundations, community and business leaders, and volunteers her time on several committees and nonprofit fundraising events.

Emily joined employee-owned Choate Construction Company in 2008 and is responsible for the planning, development, and execution of Choate Construction’s marketing initiatives. Emily knows in the world of commercial construction, Reputation Is Everything, and is passionate about building, fostering, and protecting Choate’s brand. She handles the translation of business goals to marketing strategy, departmental development, brand management, marketing communications and technology, and public relations.

Evan is a Manager of Strategic Partnerships at Surgent Accounting and Financial Education. He has been heavily involved with the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation since 2018. Currently, he is the co-chair of Philadelphia's Finest, with a specific focus on building and maintaining partnerships to secure corporate sponsorships.

Maribeth is an experienced professional with a history of working in the information technology and retail industries. She spent fourteen years as a Sales Executive in the retail/cosmetics industry. Currently, at Daugherty Business Solutions as the Employee Engagement Lead; areas such as overseeing the onboarding experience, supporting employee resource groups, committees and social groups, assisting in community outreach efforts and a member of the Diversity & Inclusion governance committee. Her #1 priority is to make sure her teammates feel supported and enjoy working at Daugherty!
